Two really big shows are on the BroRox schedule for April and May!

April 4, 2008

The doors open at 6:00 with another great slate of music kicking off at 7:00. Tickets are just $5 for what is hopefully another sold out show.

The guys take on five completely new songs including another original inspired by two of their favorite musicians! Get ready for some nuggets from some of the greatest rock and punk trios ever!

Paar Broer then adds another great Pittsburgh venue to their schedule as they play The Lounge @ Olive or Twist on Saturday May 3rd!

Little Athens in Sewickley – March 8th!

February 22, 2008

Mark your calendars for March 8th as Paar Broer will be playing Little Athens in Sewickley! This is a great opportunity to play a home town show and we hope to pack the place in appreciation for the chance. Joining Paar Broer for the show will be someone we share the stage with often for Rock School Pittsburgh shows – Jacob Klein.

Jacob is a great guitar player and singer/songwriter who can play everything from his originals to covers from John Lennon to James Gang to AC/DC. He plays out often solo or with his bands The Drop Outs and Random Remarks.

Paar Broer’s band members are all from Quaker Valley while Jacob attends Sewickley Academy so the chance to play in Sewickley should be a lot of fun and hopefully will draw a great crowd to Little Athens.

For those that haven’t had the chance to try Little Athens yet, come hungry as there is no better place to find some of the best Greek treats including gyros, souvlaki, baklava and much much more! In addition to the great food, Little Athens has a bar with something for everyone.

The show is from 8:30-12:00 and is free for adults and just a $5 cover for kids that includes soft drinks. We hope to see everyone there!

Little Athens, 518 Locust Place, Sewickley, PA 15143 – 412.741.1230

Videos from Hard Rock show are up finally!

December 20, 2007

Hard Rock stageThe video from the Rock School of Pittsburgh show at the Hard Rock Cafe has finally arrived and it was well worth the wait! The quality is amazing with three different cameras used and the sound coming through the mixing board – this isn’t the same old parent toting mini-cam video. A huge thank you to Michael and Jan Klein for arranging this – it is a great way to remember a really special night.

See the videos by clicking the tab at the top of the page titled BroRox Videos or clicking here BroRox Videos .

For those of you that weren’t at the show, the Rock School bands filled the Hard Rock Cafe from end to end with a sold-out crowd of nearly 500 people. Whether it was the advanced program, the venue or the energy feeding off all of the bands – each of the groups or solo acts played above and beyond anything they have ever done before.Hard Rock Pass

Paar Broer played five brand new songs including debuting an original titled ‘Voice’. Covers included songs from four decades by Led Zeppelin, OK Go, Chuck Berry and the Violent Femmes.

There are extra videos available for purchase through Michael Klein. They are $40 each which covers costs basically. If all copies are sold there will be a few dollars remaining that will be donated to the Rock School program. Send an e-mail to brorox@comcast.net and we will put you in touch with Michael.

Two Awesome Shows This Week!

October 26, 2007

Trickery!Paar Broer has two really cool shows coming up in just over a week!

The band was recently asked to play a community event in Sewickley as part of the QVRA Street Fair to help launch their capital campaign as they continue their tireless work to bring more athletic facilities to the entire Quaker Valley community. Please stop by Thorn Street in front of the Sewickley Library on Saturday November 3rd between 10-2PM for some good old-fashioned Street Fair fun. Play some games, win prizes, listen to Paar Broer & others but mostly come to show your support for the QVRA! Paar Broer will play two sets tentatively scheduled for 11:00 & 12:30.

Jack on the drumsThe guys then take to the stage the following evening, Sunday November 4th, at the Hard Rock Cafe in Station Square as part of Jason Deutsch’s Rock School! This amazing opportunity to play on stage at one of Pittsburgh’s premier clubs at such a young age was arranged by Jason for the advanced Rock School bands. Paar Broer has been hard at work with Walter Ino of Strangeway honing a set list stretching from the roots of rock & roll to their own thoroughly modern original for a set of music that spans five decades!

The Street Fair is a free event while tickets for the hard Rock show are $5 each. For anyone interested in Emong?!?!attending the Hard Rock show, seating is limited so please e-mail brorox@comcast.net as soon as possible to reserve your ticket.

Two additional photo albums, including shots of a rare Emong sighting, were recently added with several new videos to follow – check in often for some new surprises!
